I thought about it and this "Bio" thing could turn out to be one big ego trip. So I took a different direction here. Let me just say I'm old (in dog years...I'm dead). I remember seeing Brian Jones with the Rolling Stones live. I have been entertaining for decades. I was very lucky as a child to be exposed to great music. My parents Patsy & Big George always had Motown playing in the house or Buddy Holly and the Everly Brothers. It was mom and dad that brought the Beatles to my attention over breakfeast on a cold January morning as WNBC am. in New York City was constantly playing "I want to hold your hand". Funny how you remember things. After seeing them on the Sullivan show in Feb....I was hooked. As my life continued I became aware of the entertainment factor. All these bands I have come to be inspired by had a presentaion. The Who was a very strong factor. They were pop art. Then came along Alice Cooper. Seeing him live was more like watching an NBC special. Never being a Kiss fan. My taste were more progressive rock. Keith Emerson is an influence. I can still see him throwing a Hammond B 3 around on stage. And playing it like no one before him. He was Hendrix of the keys. Jeff Beck is ...Jeff Beck. What else can I say? He's an animal. His cd "Guitar Works" with Terrie Bozzio is something that has made me want to play. Really play. King Crimson has had some major inlfuences on my cd "New World". As does the cd "Dark side of the moon". The orchastrations and song writing from early Genises. The odd Peter Gabriel subject matter. The sencerity of David Bowie. All share some respsonsibility for what I do.
My music is meant to be impressionable. I want the listener to hear things like rain in the song. Or love and lonelyness. An not just from the lyrics but the whole vibe. The show is for entertainment. People have told me it was "Fun, crazy, weird off beat art". Its definitly different. And I get to push alot of buttons in the audience. Seems some so called librals weren't so libral concerning my SICK BASTARD SHOW. But all art is not for all people. Even after a prerecorded warning. Some people were still caught off guard. So I guess I'm underground. Works for me. It's not like I'm looking for "THE RECORD DEAL". Seen too many bands get obsessed with getting signed. Where the song writting comes out like being second guess. As if they are song writting for the record contact. I'll make some cds, get a little fancy with the live show. I fell very comfortable coming up with new off the wall bizzare ideas. Just support it as you have been...now the bio. I'm married..i have children and grandchildren. We got a dog. I've played alot a gigs with alot of different people.
